Instructions on Regsitering for Classes
*Please note: We have separate registrations for Buyer Badges and Class Students:
1. Register for your Buyers badge FIRST following the procedure on our web-page "Register as a Buyer." We will not make class assignments for anyone who has not already sent in their request for a Buyers Badge.
2. You will apply for classes using the contact information in the right column on this page.
3. *Register early! Many classes become hot items and fill. We will create waiting lists for these classes.
4. You may also register for available class tickets at market. Please see the open class list poster and see our staff in our Registration Room #306.
5. ONLY owners and employees of Brick & Mortor Stores may register for classes. The purpose of our classes in regards to our sponsors is to expose our designers and teachers to as many shops selling their products as possible.
Saturday Classes
*A1 - Needlepoint Retailing 101:
1. This class if for shops who have carried needlepoint in their stores less than five years.
2. Each shop reigsters as a whole unit. You may bring more than one person to the class but only one set of materials/handouts will be given to each particiapting store. There are no fees with this class.
*A2 - Advanced Technique
Prior to February 1, 2012, we will only assign one student from a shop to te Advanced Technique class. You may bring additional students from your store with you to audit the class but you will only recieve one set of materials per store. After February 1st, we will fill unclaimed tickets with your additional students on a first come, first served basis and they will recieve their own set of materials. There are no fees with this class.
Sunday Technique (Canvas) Classes:
Each Brick & Mortor store attending Destination: Dallas recieves one free SUNDAY evening class if they have made thier request by February 1, 2012. If demand warrents, we will add addiional technique classes until February 1, 2012 to accommadate free class space. After February 2, free classes are assigned only if we have space available.
You may also register extra students from your store to take additional classes; however, please note this change for 2012: we will not make assignments for your additional students until after February 1st. Each additional student will be charged a class seating fee of $20.00.
*Your class kit includes canvas, stitch guide and threads. These kits cost our sponsors a lot of money and time to provide for our D:D students. In order to keep the products given to you during the class, you are required to stay for the entire class period. If you find it necessary to leave before the class is over, you must return the kit and all its contents to your instructor before exiting the class area.
*Please arrive on time for your class or we will substitute a student from our "wait list." If you have not claimed your seat by 5:20pm, we will need to replace your class spot and substitute the next person on the list.
*Your tickets are included in your Buyer Registration Packet. Please note that we will release unclaimed Sunday evening class tickets (from undistributed registration packets) at 4:45pm on April 1st and redistribute them to the students on the wait list.
Why you will want to order Banquet Tickets:

You would think after 10 years, our banquet attendance would drop off. Wrong! Why? After Sunday classes, everyone gets together and hangs out for a casual meal without any boring speeches. (We do give away some fun prizes, though!) Banquet time is a good opporutnity for you to get to know the exhibitors on a more personal level, as well as a chance for you to network with othe shopowners. Plus, we do our darndest to keep the ticket price low - it's pretty comparable price-wise to the restaurants in the area. So please come to the Banquet. It's good food, good times and good company!

Second,register everyone from your store at once. Your free spots will be assigned and we will hold your addition registrations and assign them as available after Februay 1, 2012.
Third, pre-order your Banquet Tickets at $28.00 each. Tickets sold during market weekend will be $30.00 each.

Notes regarding payment:
1. Checks are due by February 15th. We will notify you if your additional students were assigned a class spot and what your total is. After February 15th, we will reassign your extra student classes if demand for the class warrents.
2. Banquet Tickets are non-refundable due to financial commitments made with the hotel as we continually update them on the numbers attending the Sunday evening banquet.
